US Patent Issued to C.R. Bard on March 18 for "Biopsy apparatus having a sample collection container" (Arizona Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,084, issued on March 18, was assigned to C.R. Bard Inc. (Franklin Lakes, N.J.).

"Biopsy apparatus having a sample collection container" was invented by Koltin K. Glaspie (Chandler, Ariz.) and Angela K. Jensen (Phoenix).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sample collection container for a biopsy apparatus includes a sample capture body defining an interior space. The sample capture body is made of a fabric and has an interior sample capture surface that at least partially surrounds the interior space. The fabric has at least one fold."
