ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,236,644, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to BSH Hausgerate GmbH (Munich).
"Operation of a household cooking appliance with at least one camera" was invented by Josef Pfeiffer (Ubersee, Germany) and Hans-Martin Eiter (Kirchweidach, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In a method for operating a household cooking appliance, a camera records a pixel-based image from a cooking chamber of the household cooking appliance. The image is evaluated with exclusion of brightness values of associated pixels thereof."
The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2020, under Application No. 17/628,237.
