ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,947, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Brunswick Corp. (Mettawa, Ill.).

"Outboard motor that is removable from transom clamp bracket" was invented by Ryan A. Fergus (Neenah, Wis.), Jeffrey D. Reifsnyder (Fond du Lac, Wis.), Wayne M. Jaszewski (Jackson, Wis.) and Andrew J. Przybyl (Berlin, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An outboard motor includes a transom clamp bracket configured to be supported on a transom of a marine vessel and a swivel bracket configured to be supported by the transom clamp bracket.
