ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,538,918, issued on Feb. 3, was assigned to BRO LLC (Roseburg, Ore.).

"Wild game calling device" was invented by Jim Hendrickson (Warren, Ore.), Eric Strand (Roseburg, Ore.), Trent Fisher (Roseburg, Ore.), Kody Kellom (Roseburg, Ore.) and Treavor Fisher (Roseburg, Ore.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Example methods, apparatuses, and/or articles of manufacture related to wild game calling are disclosed that may be implemented, in whole or in part, using a game calling device. In a particular implementation, a game calling device may closely imitate the call of an elk while air is passed over a reed to make a game call sound."
