US Patent Issued to Bristol-Myers Squibb on Sept. 9 for "Use of rosmarinic acid in cell bioproduction" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,410,457, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (Princeton, N.J.).

"Use of rosmarinic acid in cell bioproduction" was invented by Jun Tian (Westford, Mass.), Jianlin Xu (Littleton, Mass.) and Qin He (Littleton, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to new methods and processes for culturing mammalian cells with the addition of phenolic antioxidants.
