ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,420,594, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to BRIDGESTONE Corp. (Tokyo).
"Pneumatic tire" was invented by Hiroyuki Matsumoto (Tokyo), Yoshio Kaji (Tokyo) and Hiroshi Nomura (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a pneumatic tire in which sipe units with minute sipes are repeatedly arranged in a land portion; at least one end in an extending direction of the minute sipe of at least one of the minute sipes terminates within the land portion; w1(w2)xh is 150 (mm2) or less, and a sipe density is 0.15 (1/mm) or more."
The patent was filed on May 12, 2022, under Application No. 18/693,947.
