ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,427, issued on March 25, was assigned to Bridgestone Corp. (Chuo-ku, Japan).
"Processes for increasing the molecular weight of guayule natural rubber" was invented by Robert W. White (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Michael R. Hartzell (Gold Canyon, Ariz.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are process for increasing the molecular weight of guayule natural rubber that is solubilized in an organic solvent solution. The processes utilize shear desolventizing to achieve the increase in molecular weight."
The patent was filed on Dec. 19, 2019, under Application No. 17/415,609.
