ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,485,972, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Bridgestone Americas Inc. (Nashville, Tenn.).

"Modular structural composites for automotive applications" was invented by Mark W. Brandley (Franklin, Tenn.), Georg Kasmeier (Munich), Adam Halsband (Birmingham, Mich.), Adam Harms (St. Louis) and Johannes Klug (Munich).
