ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. PP36,569, issued on March 25, was assigned to Brian's Botanicals (Louisville, Ky.).
"Colocasia plant named 'FLOCOCLEO'" was invented by Brian Paul Williams (Louisville, Ky.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "'FLOCOCLEO' is a distinctive Colocasia plant which is characterized by the combination of a unique coloration pattern on the lamina of greyed-purple, purple, and violet midrib, a dark purple petiole, glossy concave cordate leaves, and the consistency of these characteristics from generation to generation."
The patent was filed on Oct. 17, 2024, under Application No. 18/831,287.
