ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,262,162, issued on March 25, was assigned to Brane Audio LLC (Austin, Texas).

"Electroacoustic drivers and loudspeakers containing same" was invented by Joseph F. Pinkerton (Austin, Texas) and William Neil Everett (Cedar Park, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Electroacoustic drivers that can be utilized in loudspeaker systems that utilize bidirectional force electromagnet transducers or piezoelectric transducers. The electroacoustic drivers can include motion amplifiers such as lever arms. The electroacoustic drivers can be used at all audio frequencies including frequencies below 500 Hz."
