ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,591, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Brandon Robinson (West Palm Beach, Fla.).

"Underwater propulsion device" was invented by Brandon Robinson (West Palm Beach, Fla.), Lowell Kim Robinson (Sanford, Fla.) and Marc Barber (Deltona, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An underwater propulsion device is disclosed comprising two sleeves for fitting around each of a user's lower legs, with each sleeve mounting a propulsion unit, and the sleeves being connectable by a bar between them during underwater operation of the device by the user."
