ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,310,623, issued on May 27, was assigned to Boston Scientific Scimed Inc. (Maple Grove, Minn.).

"Surgical needle device" was invented by James R. Mujwid (Hudson, Wis.), Kory P. Hamel (Bloomington, Minn.), James A. Alexander (Excelsior, Minn.), John J. Buysman (Minnetonka, Minn.), John F. Otte (St. Anthony, Minn.) and Jason W. Ogdahl (Minneapolis).
