ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,292, issued on June 3, was assigned to Boston Scientific Scimed Inc. (Maple Grove, Minn.).

"Adjustable nosecone" was invented by Crissly V. Crisostomo (Folsom, Calif.) and Randy S. Gamarra (Santa Clara, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A percutaneous valve delivery system may include an outer sheath and an inner catheter disposed within the outer sheath. The inner catheter may include a plurality of lumens formed therein. A tubular extension may extend distally from a distal end of the inner catheter, wherein the tubular extension is axially movable relative to the inner catheter.
