ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,369,942, issued on July 29, was assigned to Boston Scientific Scimed Inc. (Maple Grove, Minn.).

"Atherectomy system with guidewire detection" was invented by David Gordon Spangler (New Richmond, Wis.), Corydon Carlson (Stillwater, Minn.), Laszlo Trent Farago (Hudson, Wis.) and Daniel Frank Massimini (Brooklyn Park, Minn.).
