US Patent Issued to Boston Dynamics on Nov. 11 for "Autonomous and teleoperated sensor pointing on a mobile robot" (Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,466,075, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Boston Dynamics Inc. (Waltham, Mass.).

"Autonomous and teleoperated sensor pointing on a mobile robot" was invented by Christopher Stathis (Bedford, Mass.), Dion Gonano (Somerville, Mass.), Robert Eugene Paolini (Cambridge, Mass.) and Adam Komoroski (Westwood, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A computer-implemented method executed by data processing hardware of a robot causes the data processing hardware to perform operations. The operations include receiving a sensor pointing command that commands the robot to use a sensor to capture sensor data of a location in an environment of the robot...
