ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,831, issued on March 18, was assigned to BOSTON DYNAMICS INC. (Waltham, Mass.).
"Integrated mobile manipulator robot" was invented by Michael Murphy (Carlisle, Mass.), Benjamin Zelnick (Newton, Mass.), Malik Hansen (Sudbury, Mass.), Vadim Chernyak (Waltham, Mass.), Christopher Everett Thorne (Waltham, Mass.) and Alex Perkins (Lincoln, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A robot includes a mobile base, a turntable rotatably coupled to the mobile base, a robotic arm operatively coupled to the turntable, and at least one directional sensor.
