ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,522, issued on May 13, was assigned to BOSTIK SA (La Plaine Saint Denis, France).
"Production of an adhesive composition in an extruder" was invented by Myriam Grisot-Saule (Compiegne, France) and Sebastien Quinebeche (Bernay, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention concerns a method for preparing an adhesive composition using an extruder having at least two rotating screws, successively comprising: feeding a plasticizer into the extruder; degassing the plasticizer in the extruder; feeding a silylated prepolymer and mixing the latter with the plasticizer in the extruder; and discharging the mixture from the extruder."
