ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,896, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Borealis AG (Vienna).
"Blown films with improved property profile" was invented by Jingbo Wang (Linz, Austria), Markus Gahleitner (Linz, Austria), Pauli Leskinen (Porvoo, Finland) and Klaus Bernreitner (Linz, Austria).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Blown films based on a blend of a C2C3 random copolymer and a C2-based plastomer, which combine low scaling initiation temperature (SIT), good optical properties and an improved stiffness/impact balance, and which also show an excellent sterilization behaviour."
The patent was filed on May 14, 2021, under Application No. 17/997,865.
