ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,219, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Boost Biopharma Inc. (Woburn, Mass.).

"Recombinant polypeptides containing at least one immunogenic fragment and uses thereof" was invented by Fritz M. Schomburg (Madison, Wis.) and David M. Rancour (Madison, Wis.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a recombinant polypeptide containing at least one immunogenic fragment of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike glycoprotein, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same."

The patent was filed on April 25, 2022, under Application No. 17/728,798.
