ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,268,275, issued on April 8, was assigned to BOLT THREADS INC. (Emeryville, Calif.).

"Cross-linked elastomeric proteins in polar nonaqueous solvents and uses thereof" was invented by Matthew Jordan Smith (Emeryville, Calif.), Michael Eun-Suk Lee (Berkeley, Calif.), Mitchell Joseph Heinrich (Oakland, Calif.) and Paul James Jehlen (Richmond, Calif.).
