"Plant-based chemicals for Varroa mite control" was invented by Zachary Huang (Okemos, Mich.) and Xinjian Xu (Okemos, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are compositions and methods for killing or inhibiting honey bee parasites such as Varroa mites."
