ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. PP36,664, issued on May 13, was assigned to BLOOM FRESH INTERNATIONAL Ltd. (London).
"Grapevine plant named 'BLOMG05'" was invented by David Cain (Lutz, Fla.) and Christopher Owens (Bakersfield, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "'BLOMG05' is a new and distinct grapevine variety characterized by producing medium sized broadly ellipsoid red berries having very crisp texture with a with a strong fruity flavor combining characteristics of muscat and labrusca which ripens in mid-season.
