US Patent Issued to BioVentures on Sept. 30 for "Cells for the production of viruses and methods of using the same" (Arkansas Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,626, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to BioVentures LLC (Little Rock, Ark.).

"Cells for the production of viruses and methods of using the same" was invented by Jia Liu (Little Rock, Ark.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for increasing the production of virus in vitro. Modified cells which are modified to eliminate or reduce as compared to a control cell the activity or expression of a Sterile Alpha motif-domain containing protein 9 (SAMD9) polypeptide are provided.
