ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,976, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Biotome Pty Ltd. (West Perth, Australia).
"Peptides and their use in diagnosis" was invented by Bror Samuel Lundin (Molndal, Sweden).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided novel peptides for use in diagnosis of CagA+ H. pylori infection or the prediction of risk for gastric cancer. The peptides bind antibodies from CagA+ H pylori patients with high specificity and sensitivity, and can be used for example in a diagnostic kit."
The patent was filed on May 31, 2024, under Application No. 18/680,407.
