US Patent Issued to Bio-Rad Laboratories on May 13 for "Methods for processing nucleic acid samples" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,493, issued on May 13, was assigned to Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. (Hercules, Calif.).

"Methods for processing nucleic acid samples" was invented by Arkadiusz Bibillo (Walnut Creek, Calif.) and Pranav Patel (Pleasanton, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides methods and systems for amplifying and analyzing nucleic acid samples. The present disclosure provides methods for preparing cDNA and/or DNA molecules and cDNA and/or DNA libraries using modified reverse transcriptases."
