ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,457, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to BIO-BOND LLC (Peosta, Iowa).
"Pallet stabilization adhesive" was invented by Richard W. Thomas (Asbury, Iowa).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A biodegradable adhesive containing effective amounts of water; defoamer; gelatin; preservative; glycerin, sorbitol, or a mixture of glycerin and sorbitol; NaCl; and sugar for use in making boxes, and other material, in which the material is recyclable, repulpable, compostable, and the like to improve environmentally friendly packaging and eliminating hazards of using hot adhesives."
