US Patent Issued to Biamp Systems on May 20 for "Camera shutter with additional view blockers" (Texas Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,306,529, issued on May 20, was assigned to Biamp Systems LLC (Beaverton, Ore.).

"Camera shutter with additional view blockers" was invented by Douglas Laube (Plano, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "One example may include a camera with a camera lens, and two shutter portions on opposite sides of the camera lens affixed to pivoting axes, and two shutter arms affixed to the two shutter portions which rotate about the pivoting axes to move the two shutter portions together to be contiguous with one another in front of the camera lens."

The patent was filed on Oct. 24, 2022, under Application No. 17/972,496.
