ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,673, issued on May 13, was assigned to Betts Industries Inc. (Warren, Pa.).

"Adjustable tamper-resistant locking mechanism for manhole cover" was invented by David Adams (Warren, Pa.), Michael Gustafson (Clarendon, Pa.) and Craig Culbertson (Russell, Pa.).
