ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,376,698, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Berry Plastics Corp. (Evansville, Ind.).
"Beverage-brewing package" was invented by David W. Conant (Sanford, N.C.), Debra R. Wilson (Houston) and Yucheng Peng (Evansville, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A beverage brewing package includes a cup and a sealant film. The cup may be formed by a thermoforming process."
The patent was filed on April 13, 2021, under Application No. 17/229,266.
