ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,124, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Berry Global Inc. (Evansville, Ind.).
"Drink cup lid" was invented by Jonathan Eickhoff (Evansville, Ind.), Braxton J. Bragg (Evansville, Ind.) and Jeffrey A. Mann (Evansville, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid container includes a cup having a brim forming an opening into an interior region of the cup. The container also includes a lid configured to mount on the brim of the cup to close the opening."
The patent was filed on Jan. 25, 2023, under Application No. 18/101,385.
