ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,785, issued on July 29, was assigned to Berry Global Inc. (Evansville, Ind.).
"Multilayer film" was invented by Michael A. Kinnan (North Canton, Ohio), Bryan S. Gillespie (Altoona, Wis.) and Brooke D. Kitzmiller (North Canton, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A multilayer film includes a first skin layer, a second skin layer, and a core layer. The core layer includes at least two lanes of material. Each of the lanes of material of the core layer contacts each of the first skin layer and the second skin layer."
The patent was filed on Nov. 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/386,717.
