According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In example embodiments, techniques are described for implementing a code service for managing codes for elements in a digital twin of infrastructure according to an edge computing paradigm. The techniques may use an "edge base," wherein each edge computing device (e.g., a client computing device or VM) executes a code service that maintains a local, periodically-synchronized copy of a portion of a code database for the digital twin.
