"Sprayable compositions" was invented by Richard A. Presti (Kinnelon, N.J.) and Maria Cristina Niciporciukas (Easton, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to sprayable compositions suitable for use in topical applications, for example, as sunscreen sprays. The sprayable compositions are alcohol-based. They include active agents, as well as a particular combination of film formers.
