US Patent Issued to Becton Dickinson and Co. on Oct. 21 for "4% trisodium citrate solution for use as a catheter lock solution" (New York, New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,243, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Becton Dickinson and Co. (Franklin Lakes, N.J.).

"4% trisodium citrate solution for use as a catheter lock solution" was invented by Roza Mahmoodian (New York) and Suzanne Ferreri (Ridgewood, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are catheter lock solutions having anticoagulation and antimicrobial properties, the catheter lock solutions including citrate salts.
