ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,137, issued on May 13, was assigned to Becton Dickinson and Co. (Franklin Lakes, N.J.).

"Needleless connector and access port disinfection cleaner and antimicrobial protection cap" was invented by Jonathan Karl Burkholz (Salt Lake City).
