ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,504, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Becton Dickinson and Co. (Franklin Lakes, N.J.).

"Valve shaft pump with coordinated pumping and valving operations" was invented by Alessandro Pizzochero (Chelmsford, Mass.), Mark Wood (Sterling, Mass.), Shehryar Siddiqui (Hopkinton, Mass.), Elizabeth Gurin (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Keith Knapp (Sudbury, Vt.).
