ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,550, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Beckman Coulter Inc. (Brea, Calif.).
"Sampling system" was invented by Bart Wanders (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) and Eric Grace (Deland, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sampling system that includes a traverse, a sample aspiration module body, and a mechanical system. The sample aspiration module body is configured to travel along the traverse. The mechanical system is configured to move the traverse from a first position to a second position, wherein both the first position and the second position lie in the same plane."
