ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,546,990, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Beam Engineering for Advanced Measurements Co. (Orlando, Fla.) and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) (Arlington, Va.).

"Light-weight diffractive beam steering system with high efficiency and broad field of regard" was invented by Robert Winsor (Hamilton, Va.), David Roberts (Apopka, Fla.), Nelson Tabirian (Winter Park, Fla.) and Aaron Becker (Altamonte Springs, Fla.).
