ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,495, issued on June 17, was assigned to Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (Munich).
"Adapter, motor vehicle and method" was invented by Markus Prien (Munich) and Andre Wagner (Fuerstenfeldbruck, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An adapter is provided for securing a filling tube of a fuel container to a body of a motor vehicle. The adapter has a contact region for placement on the body and a first securing point for securing a first holder for the filling tube. This allows for it to be easily adapted to different vehicle body shapes."
The patent was filed on Oct. 6, 2020, under Application No. 17/769,460.
