ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,441,905, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to BASF SE (Ludwigshafen Am Rhein, Germany).
"Coatings with improved adhesion" was invented by Kaliappa Ragunathan (Charlotte, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are coating compositions with enhanced adhesion to a variety of different substrates. In some embodiments, the coating can comprise at least one copolymer derived from a monomer mixture that includes tert-butyl acrylate."
The patent was filed on Sept. 16, 2020, under Application No. 17/761,603.
