ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,305,110, issued on May 20, was assigned to BASF SE (Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany).
"Antifreeze agents and coolants for fuel cells, storage batteries and batteries" was invented by Harald Dietl (Ludwigshafen, Germany), Bayram Aydin (Ludwigshafen, Germany) and Roger Sieg (Ludwigshafen, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Substantially water-free antifreezes for cooling systems can be used as coolants and antifreezes without further dilution with water."
The patent was filed on Oct. 25, 2019, under Application No. 17/288,991.
