ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,974, issued on July 22, was assigned to BASF Corp. (Florham Park, N.J.).
"Particulate filter" was invented by Jun Cong Jiang (Shanghai), Yun Fei Qi (Shanghai), Attilio Siani (Shanghai), Weiyong Tang (Shanghai) and Shau Lin Chen (Shanghai).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a particulate filter, in particular a particulate filter for use in an emission treatment system of an internal combustion engine. The particulate filter provides an advantageous combination of low back pressure and high fresh filtration efficiency."
The patent was filed on Nov. 10, 2020, under Application No. 17/755,875.
