ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,860, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to BASF SE (Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany).

"Mannanase variants" was invented by Jesper Nielsen (San Diego), Katie Kline (San Diego), Amanda Rae Logue (San Diego), Cindy Hoang (San Diego), Mark Miller (San Diego), Asfia Qureshi (San Diego), Tong Li (San Diego) and Priya Anand (San Diego).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A mannanase at least 75% identical to SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 3, or SEQ ID NO: 4, a poly-nucleotide encoding mannanase, an expression construct comprising the polynucleotide, and a host cell comprising the polynucleotide or the expression construct."
