US Patent Issued to BASF on Aug. 5 for "Process for the preparation of triazine intermediates and a process for the preparation of UV absorbers thereof" (Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,205, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to BASF SE (Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany).

"Process for the preparation of triazine intermediates and a process for the preparation of UV absorbers thereof" was invented by Rahul Garg (Navi Mumbai, India), Prachin Kolambkar (Mumbai, India) and Mushtaq Patel (Navi Mumbai, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The presently claimed invention relates to a novel, highly efficient and general process for the preparation of the triazine intermediates and their use in the preparation of UV absorbers."
