ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,379,190, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to BARRDAY CORP. (Charlotte, N.C.).
"Ballistic-resistant composite with maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene" was invented by Jason Van Heerden (Cambridge, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A ballistic-resistant composite includes at least one layer that has a network of ballistic fibers and a resin matrix. The resin matrix includes maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene (MA-g-PP)."
The patent was filed on Feb. 8, 2021, under Application No. 17/797,529.
