US Patent Issued to BAINBRIDGE BIO on Oct. 21 for "Transistor-based biosensor" (British Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,449,393, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to BAINBRIDGE BIO INC. (Bainbridge Island, Wash.).

"Transistor-based biosensor" was invented by Sophia Bidinger (Cambridge, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Broadly speaking, embodiments of the present techniques generally provide biosensors for detecting target small molecules in a fluid sample. In particular, the present techniques provide a biosensor comprising an organic electrochemical transistor, OECT and a monolayer of aptamers designed to bind to a target small molecule. The biosensor may be of a size to make it suitable for wearing on or implanting in a human or animal body."...
