According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Broadly speaking, embodiments of the present techniques generally provide biosensors for detecting target small molecules in a fluid sample. In particular, the present techniques provide a biosensor comprising an organic electrochemical transistor, OECT and a monolayer of aptamers designed to bind to a target small molecule.
