ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. PP36,709, issued on May 27, was assigned to BAILEY NURSERIES INC. (Newport, Minn.).
"Buddleia plant named 'Bailbudone'" was invented by Justin Schulze (Athens, Ga.), David Jonathan Roberts (Woodbury, Minn.) and Oren McBee (Bishop, Ga.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new cultivar of Buddleia plant named 'Bailbudone' that is characterized by its a compact and uniform growth habit, its flower panicles that are vibrant pink in color, and its upright and rounded plant habit."
The patent was filed on Oct. 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/496,846.
