US Patent Issued to AvicenaTech on July 15 for "MicroLED based time of flight system" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,360,219, issued on July 15, was assigned to AvicenaTech Corp. (Sunnyvale, Calif.).

"MicroLED based time of flight system" was invented by Bardia Pezeshki (Mountain View, Calif.), Robert Kalman (Mountain View, Calif.) and Alexander Tselikov (Mountain View, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A time of flight system may include one or more microLEDs and a photodetector monolithically integrated with integrated circuitry of the time of flight system. The microLEDs may be doped to provide increased speed of operation."

The patent was filed on Aug. 13, 2021, under Application No. 17/401,919.
