ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,331,410, issued on June 17, was assigned to Avadain LLC (Eads, Tenn.).

"Graphene and the production of graphene" was invented by Rene Hoffmann (Freiburg, Germany), Christoph E. Nebel (Freiburg, Germany) and Sarah Roscher (Freiburg, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Compositions comprising hydrogenated and dehydrogenated graphite comprising a plurality of flakes. At least one flake in ten has a size in excess of ten square micrometers. For example, the flakes can have an average thickness of 10 atomic layers or less."

The patent was filed on June 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/733,126.
