ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,241,068, issued on March 4, was assigned to AUTOLUS Ltd. (London).
"CD79-specific chimeric antigen receptor" was invented by Martin Pule (London), Shaun Cordoba (London), Simon Thomas (London), Shimobi Onuoha (London) and Mathieu Ferrari (London).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) which specifically binds CD79 as well as a nucleic acid sequence and a vector encoding the CAR. It further provides a cell which expresses the CAR at the cell surface."
The patent was filed on May 15, 2019, under Application No. 17/055,387.
